15 - 18 Month Check Up
Not much changes in the routine of check-ups at these ages. The nurse obtains weight, height, and head circumference of your child and the clinician will perform a full examination. Development of speech and language along with refined motor skills are observed during these ages. It is important to evaluate your child's growth and development to ensure any concerns are addressed in a timely manner. Your child will also receive the Center for Disease Control recommended vaccinations at both visits.
2 Year Check Up
Congratulations, you have a toddler! The terrible twos are notorious at this age and we are here to help as best we can. Your child will be weighed and measured as before, though your child is encouraged to participate in their own healthcare at this time. The clinician will perform a full examination, review healthy lifestyle choices, and promote safety. Your child will receive Center for Disease Control recommended vaccinations at this check-up, along with a toe stick to review labs and lead levels.
2.5 Year Check Up
Your child continues to amaze you with their growth and development. Speech explodes at this age, often leading to multiple word sentences. Your child expresses their desires and needs in a variety of ways. During this check-up, the clinician will review your child's growth and development. Healthy, safe and happy lifestyle choices will be discussed. No vaccinations are required at this time, unless your child is behind on the Center for Disease Control recommended vaccination schedule.
